Since our humble, uncertain founding days of 1951, the very evident needs of suffering society determined the ministry activities of our congregation. Initially, the brothers’ ministry was the care of the transient poor. Soon after, we began to expand the scope of our work to include the care of the mentally challenged and the elderly.
Our Founder Brother Mathias Barrett desired the brothers to serve not only in specific ministries, but also to the new and challenging needs of these times. It is the spirit of Mathias Barrett’s “Charity Unlimited – Never Stop Loving” that the brothers now serve in a wide variety of ministries within the caring mission of the Church.
Through our prayer and ministry we strive to model our lives after the heart of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, who left the 99 to respond to the one in special need. There is much work to do. We don’t mind the work, we never have, but the delivery of our services can continue only if you journey with us by supporting our vision and mission. |
